Portable OpSec: Jotted down thoughts
OpSec is a hard sounding word for something squishy. I like to think of OpSec more in terms of everydayness, flexibility, and backups of things more than anything else:
- Digital backups of important documents
- Backup electricity
- USBC electronics
- Using light in the dark
- AAA membership for your car

Price of storage continues to decline. 1TB USBC flashdrive. Helpful to store important docs like health records, identification of citizenships, photocopies of documents. Flashdrive should be password protected and encrypted – not necessarily to hide your data – but to protect it in case you lose your flashdrive.

Backup electricity should be for your needs (power you need + space willing to take up + weight you are willing to hold in a backpack). USBC can deliver up to 100 watts of power – enough to charge your laptop if needed.

USBC all of the things. 3 cables can connect all of your devices:
- USBC to USBC
- USB to USBC
- 3 pronged outlet to USBC (helpful for laptop)

Using light in the dark: lessons from having my car broken into.

AAA membership is really cheap insurance for peace of mind and emergency backup plan. Helpful if you drive a lot. Helpful if you don’t maybe have the newest vehicle.

Stressing out or actually thinking too much about hypothetical emergencies would defeat the point of everything and would be super unpleasant way to go about life.
Backup plans for the everyday things though, is cool and fun thing to think about a little bit.
